We are pleased to announce that Hangar.Media has closed its Series A funding round. This investment will accelerate our platform development, grow our team, and scale the infrastructure that powers digital signage for businesses across the United Kingdom and beyond.

Why Now

When we started Hangar.Media, the digital signage market was dominated by enterprise platforms that were complex, expensive, and hostile to small and mid-size businesses. Our thesis was simple: every business with a screen should be able to manage it as easily as they manage their social media. That meant building a platform that was genuinely self-service, priced per screen with no feature gating, and capable enough to scale from a single screen in a cafe to hundreds of screens across a national chain.

The market has validated that thesis. Our customer base has grown consistently since launch, our retention rates are among the highest in the industry, and our per-screen economics are strong. This round gives us the resources to accelerate what is already working.

This funding is not about pivoting or reinventing. It is about doing more of what is already working — faster, at greater scale, and with a larger team behind it.

What This Means for Customers

  • Faster feature development: We are expanding our engineering team to ship features faster without compromising on quality or stability. Our roadmap includes advanced analytics, enhanced multi-zone editing, and deeper hardware integrations
  • Infrastructure investment: More redundancy, faster content delivery, and improved global performance. We are expanding our edge infrastructure to ensure that screens in Edinburgh load content as quickly as screens in London
  • Expanded hardware support: We are investing in dedicated hardware partnerships and testing programmes to certify more devices and ensure a seamless experience across a wider range of commercial displays and media players
  • Enhanced support: A larger customer success team means faster response times, more onboarding support, and dedicated account management for larger deployments

Our Roadmap

While we are not announcing specific release dates, the investment enables us to pursue several initiatives that we have been planning:

Advanced analytics and reporting: Beyond basic proof-of-play, we are building analytics that help businesses understand the impact of their signage — correlating content playback with foot traffic, sales data, and audience engagement metrics.

Content intelligence: AI-powered tools that help users create more effective content — from automated layout suggestions to content scheduling optimisation based on historical performance data.

Partner ecosystem: A formal partner programme for AV integrators, IT managed service providers, and agencies who deploy and manage signage on behalf of their clients. This includes API access, white-labelling capabilities, and partner-specific commercial terms.

International expansion: While our current focus is the UK market, we have customers in over a dozen countries already. This funding allows us to invest in localisation, regional infrastructure, and targeted go-to-market efforts in key European markets.
