There is no limit on the number of screens that can receive a live broadcast. Hangar.Media uses CDN distribution to deliver the stream to all connected screens regardless of your network size.
What encoding software do I need?
Any software or hardware encoder that supports RTMP or SRT output will work. Popular options include OBS Studio (free), vMix, Wirecast, and hardware encoders from Blackmagic Design and Teradek.
Can I schedule a live broadcast in advance?
Yes. Create the live event in advance with a scheduled start time. Screens will display a countdown or holding graphic until the broadcast begins, then automatically switch to the live feed.
What happens if my broadcast drops mid-stream?
Screens display a reconnecting graphic and automatically resume playback when the stream recovers. If the stream does not recover within an adjustable timeout, screens return to their scheduled content.
