ChromeOS
Google-managed. Zero-touch enrolled. Natively locked to your content. The enterprise signage OS that runs itself.
Why it works.
ChromeOS and ChromeOS Flex are purpose-built for the kind of centrally-managed, locked-down computing environments that digital signage demands. Google Admin Console's Kiosk App Mode removes the OS entirely from the user's view — devices boot directly into Chrome, straight to your Hangar.Media display URL.
ChromeOS Flex takes this further: breathe new life into existing Windows or Mac hardware by flashing ChromeOS Flex for free, then enrolling via Google Admin. Your five-year-old laptop becomes a managed signage player in 20 minutes at zero hardware cost. For education and enterprise, nothing beats it.
Enroll once. Manage forever.
Google Admin Console does the heavy lifting.
Enroll via Google Admin Console
Add your ChromeOS device to Google Admin Console. Set the device policy to "Kiosk" mode. For zero-touch, configure enrollment before devices ship — they self-provision when powered on.
Set kiosk URL
In Google Admin Console, navigate to Devices → Chrome → Apps & Extensions → Kiosk. Add a new kiosk app and set the target URL to your Hangar.Media display URL.
Deploy and boot
Power on the device. ChromeOS auto-enrolls via your Google Admin policy, applies the kiosk configuration, and launches directly into your Hangar.Media display. No physical configuration needed.
Manage centrally
Your device appears in both Google Admin Console (for OS management) and your Hangar.Media dashboard (for content management). Change content from the Hangar.Media side; manage the device from the Google side.
Enterprise-grade management built in.
ChromeOS removes device management from the equation so you focus on content.
